On March 6, 2012, the Library Foundation will present Captain Scott F. O'Grady, an F-16 pilot whose plane was shot down by a Soviet-made anti aircraft missile in the skies over Bosnia as he was helping enforce the NATO no-fly zone policy. Captain O'Grady will tell his incredible story of how he survived in hostile territory for six days before being rescued by the U.S. Marines.
